Why Robotics Should be an Integral Part of School Syllabus

Technology has always surprised humans. But the progressive digital world is not just limited to those who have created it. Young kids must be involved too! Present-day schooling demands a new-age curriculum to shape future geniuses. And Robotics is the way!

At Ajanta Public School Gurgaon, we strongly believe Robotics can change the way young brains think and function. The reasons for teaching Robotics in school are many.
It’s fun!
Robotics is one of the most intelligent ways of engaging children. Competitions like building a robot from a Lego set can be fun for young kids. Not only will it introduce them to computer game designing or IT, but will also inculcate a positive competitive instinct.
Programming made easy
Robotics is great for teaching children how subjects like Maths, Science and Engineering work in conjunction. Instructing a live robot or physically controlling it is a much easier way of learning programming, which can be too abstract.
Readying kids for the future
Drones are a rage already. This indicates that the foreseeable future will require involvement of people who can programme such mechanical devices precisely. Without a doubt, programming robots at a young age in school will help students explore whether they really have an aptitude for it or no.
Great exercise for autistic children
Robotics is a great subject for engaging autistic children. Many international organisations develop robots that are programmed to teach young kids who fall on the autism spectrum. The combination works well as these kids might respond favourably to a robot’s clear, consistent interactions.
We, at Ajanta Public School, have tie-up with a leading robotics company. This allows us to organise exciting robotics competition for our students every year. The International Robotronics Competition (IRC) League aims at encouraging students to consider Science and Technology as their career choice.
The annual competition works on two levels ─ national and international ─ and is open for young participants from a varied age group.
A bunch of young students from Ajanta Public School have proved their mettle by winning the first prize at the IRC League, recently held at Lotus Valley School in Gurgaon. Our pupils excelled in the competition, leaving other leading schools far behind.

Fun-filled Zumba Dance

Dancing is a language in its own! It is an art that most of us adore. And let’s be honest, at times we do not even care if we excel at it or not. Some people might have two left feet and still jump up and down, trying to flaunt a new move. Ever wondered why? Probably because dance is all about fun! It transports you to an alien land where happiness and desires rule. And yes, not to forget the physical benefits it brings!
We, at Ajanta Public School (Gurgaon), consider dancing to be a great exercise for growing children. In fact, a lot better than just killing time away sitting in front of a TV, or typing recklessly on a smartphone.
Zumba Dance competition held in the school is a testimony to the idea of spending some entertaining and exciting moments together.
To clear the air, Zumba is a musical workout, and absolutely safe for adolescents. It usually takes place in a group, on music that’s upbeat, fast and fun! Not only Zumba dance is a great way of socialising and learning the importance of team work, there a number of health benefits that it offers.
Burns fat
Zumba is an amazing aerobic exercise. The dance form includes a combination of fat-burning movements, such as push-ups, squats, or plyometric jumps.
Perfect for full-body workout
Zumba is basically ‘dance plus fitness’. It warms up the upper body, loosens up the neck and shoulders, and stretches ankles or calves. It nearly works on every muscle and joint in the body.
Lends anaerobic benefits
The music played for Zumba is usually fast-paced. Matching the beats will require you to build up your anaerobic endurance. A high-intensity event like Zumba, thus, helps maintaining good cardiovascular respiratory system.
Boosts mood
Zumba is not anything like the routine exercises. The upbeat dance moves kill stress and release mood-improving endorphins. You will instantly feel joyous, relived and confidentafter a Zumba session.
Our endeavour at Ajanta Public School(Gurgaon) is to always encourage young kids to participate in music and dance for a sound sensory development. Our experienced instructors train students on classical music, hip-hop, salsa, and various other art forms.
The idea is to create a healthier, fitter and better world for our children – the future of our nation. Visit http://www.ajantapublicschool.org/for more details.

Ways to make your child responsible

As a parent, accomplice and career person, it seems as if your plate is so stuffed with it that it's become second nature to you! However have you stopped to consider that when it comes to your child, he or she doesn't learn out about it - rather, your child or little girl must be taught about it?
In case you have young children, it might be hard to picture them taking care of obligation like adults and teens - but this is precisely the age where you ought to ingrain such values so that responsibility doesn't become a filthy word; rather it will end up being an intuitive conduct forever! So Ajanta Public School leads you towards some of the best ways to encourage your child to take responsibility.

Initially, it's critical to tell your child that by being responsible with homework and other tasks, they're actually assisting the family as a whole. Children love having a place within a group or unit, and in case that you emphasize about how critical your child’s task is - regardless of the possibility that he's simply helping you to wash the dishes or picking away dirty clothes- your child will realize what the responsibility is all about: that other individuals are depending upon him or her to do a job positively. Praise your child for doing it. Teachers also play an important role in making your child learn the importance of taking responsibility.
Another viable way to teach responsibility to your child is to make a task chart. This is fundamentally the same as the charts that are used in schools, where teacher places gold stars along with a student’s name for a right answer or extraordinary evaluation; but this chart ought to detail every child’s task when it gets completed. Give some rewards for completing a task effectively.
In case you have a grown up child, another incredible way to teach him responsibility is to get them a credit card. Mind you, you don't need to get one with a limit of 1,000 Rupees! Teach your child that the card is for emergency buys only, and must be used if your child has enough cash to pay it off when the bill is due. Recall that, this technique ought to be only used with teenagers and it will prepare your child about financial responsibility.

Basically, teaching responsibility to your children comes down to making them feel just as their contribution matters around the family unit - and it does! So next time your child finishes a task shower lots of praises on him/her.
