Why Robotics Should be an Integral Part of School Syllabus

Technology has always surprised humans. But the progressive digital world is not just limited to those who have created it. Young kids must be involved too! Present-day schooling demands a new-age curriculum to shape future geniuses. And Robotics is the way!

At Ajanta Public School Gurgaon, we strongly believe Robotics can change the way young brains think and function. The reasons for teaching Robotics in school are many.
It’s fun!
Robotics is one of the most intelligent ways of engaging children. Competitions like building a robot from a Lego set can be fun for young kids. Not only will it introduce them to computer game designing or IT, but will also inculcate a positive competitive instinct.
Programming made easy
Robotics is great for teaching children how subjects like Maths, Science and Engineering work in conjunction. Instructing a live robot or physically controlling it is a much easier way of learning programming, which can be too abstract.
Readying kids for the future
Drones are a rage already. This indicates that the foreseeable future will require involvement of people who can programme such mechanical devices precisely. Without a doubt, programming robots at a young age in school will help students explore whether they really have an aptitude for it or no.
Great exercise for autistic children
Robotics is a great subject for engaging autistic children. Many international organisations develop robots that are programmed to teach young kids who fall on the autism spectrum. The combination works well as these kids might respond favourably to a robot’s clear, consistent interactions.
We, at Ajanta Public School, have tie-up with a leading robotics company. This allows us to organise exciting robotics competition for our students every year. The International Robotronics Competition (IRC) League aims at encouraging students to consider Science and Technology as their career choice.
The annual competition works on two levels ─ national and international ─ and is open for young participants from a varied age group.
A bunch of young students from Ajanta Public School have proved their mettle by winning the first prize at the IRC League, recently held at Lotus Valley School in Gurgaon. Our pupils excelled in the competition, leaving other leading schools far behind.

Fun-filled Zumba Dance

Dancing is a language in its own! It is an art that most of us adore. And let’s be honest, at times we do not even care if we excel at it or not. Some people might have two left feet and still jump up and down, trying to flaunt a new move. Ever wondered why? Probably because dance is all about fun! It transports you to an alien land where happiness and desires rule. And yes, not to forget the physical benefits it brings!
We, at Ajanta Public School (Gurgaon), consider dancing to be a great exercise for growing children. In fact, a lot better than just killing time away sitting in front of a TV, or typing recklessly on a smartphone.
Zumba Dance competition held in the school is a testimony to the idea of spending some entertaining and exciting moments together.
To clear the air, Zumba is a musical workout, and absolutely safe for adolescents. It usually takes place in a group, on music that’s upbeat, fast and fun! Not only Zumba dance is a great way of socialising and learning the importance of team work, there a number of health benefits that it offers.
Burns fat
Zumba is an amazing aerobic exercise. The dance form includes a combination of fat-burning movements, such as push-ups, squats, or plyometric jumps.
Perfect for full-body workout
Zumba is basically ‘dance plus fitness’. It warms up the upper body, loosens up the neck and shoulders, and stretches ankles or calves. It nearly works on every muscle and joint in the body.
Lends anaerobic benefits
The music played for Zumba is usually fast-paced. Matching the beats will require you to build up your anaerobic endurance. A high-intensity event like Zumba, thus, helps maintaining good cardiovascular respiratory system.
Boosts mood
Zumba is not anything like the routine exercises. The upbeat dance moves kill stress and release mood-improving endorphins. You will instantly feel joyous, relived and confidentafter a Zumba session.
Our endeavour at Ajanta Public School(Gurgaon) is to always encourage young kids to participate in music and dance for a sound sensory development. Our experienced instructors train students on classical music, hip-hop, salsa, and various other art forms.
The idea is to create a healthier, fitter and better world for our children – the future of our nation. Visit http://www.ajantapublicschool.org/for more details.

Ways to make your child responsible

As a parent, accomplice and career person, it seems as if your plate is so stuffed with it that it's become second nature to you! However have you stopped to consider that when it comes to your child, he or she doesn't learn out about it - rather, your child or little girl must be taught about it?
In case you have young children, it might be hard to picture them taking care of obligation like adults and teens - but this is precisely the age where you ought to ingrain such values so that responsibility doesn't become a filthy word; rather it will end up being an intuitive conduct forever! So Ajanta Public School leads you towards some of the best ways to encourage your child to take responsibility.

Initially, it's critical to tell your child that by being responsible with homework and other tasks, they're actually assisting the family as a whole. Children love having a place within a group or unit, and in case that you emphasize about how critical your child’s task is - regardless of the possibility that he's simply helping you to wash the dishes or picking away dirty clothes- your child will realize what the responsibility is all about: that other individuals are depending upon him or her to do a job positively. Praise your child for doing it. Teachers also play an important role in making your child learn the importance of taking responsibility.
Another viable way to teach responsibility to your child is to make a task chart. This is fundamentally the same as the charts that are used in schools, where teacher places gold stars along with a student’s name for a right answer or extraordinary evaluation; but this chart ought to detail every child’s task when it gets completed. Give some rewards for completing a task effectively.
In case you have a grown up child, another incredible way to teach him responsibility is to get them a credit card. Mind you, you don't need to get one with a limit of 1,000 Rupees! Teach your child that the card is for emergency buys only, and must be used if your child has enough cash to pay it off when the bill is due. Recall that, this technique ought to be only used with teenagers and it will prepare your child about financial responsibility.

Basically, teaching responsibility to your children comes down to making them feel just as their contribution matters around the family unit - and it does! So next time your child finishes a task shower lots of praises on him/her.

Make your child's conecntration skills better

Over the long haul, one may see that it is more common to run across a child that has been determined to have ADD or ADHD - meaning either attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Nowadays some parents find that putting their kids on medicines has helped them focus and concentrate all the more effectively, while other parents think their child is simply being a child.

Whichever category you may fall into, there are ways that you, as a parent, can enhance your child’s concentration skills. This should be possible with basic activities that are fun, as well as should be possible at home. A proposal is to experiment with these activities before taking your youngster to a doctor to check whether you see any change with their concentration skills. There are some tips given by AJANTA PUBLIC SCHOOL, Gurgaon to increase the concentration without medication:
Missing numbers
Tongue twisters - tongue twisters are difficult to say regardless of what age you are, however rehearsing them with your child enhances concentration enormously.
Opposites - this is an awesome game to play with children who are younger, just say a word, for example, "hot" and allow your kid to reply "cold" et cetera
Recall – Ask your child to retaliate whatever that has been taught in the school that day itself.
Reward – Reward your child with something nice whenever he recalls anything quickly.
Morale Boost – boost up the morale of your child even if he commits some minor mistake. Teach him about his mistake and help him not to do it again.
Teacher – teachers also play an important role in enhancing a child’s concentration skill. Teacher should pay special attention to mentally weak students or to those who encounter problem in retaining anything.
Bear in mind that there are also various sites that offer brain training tasks also - they are incredible for getting more ideas, also permit your child to accomplish something instructive and also have a great time and enhance their concentration skills. It is not hard to keep a child dazzled, being innovative for your child is constantly recommended however this can also help parents to stay connected with their child and develop a strong bond between them.

Class X students created a record in which around 86 students appeared in board exam and out of which 100% of them passed their exams efficiently. It is a matter of pride for the school and as well as for the students and parents of the students too. Talking about the CGPA, a 10 on 10 CGPA was scored by 11 students who got 100 in all subjects and were ranked no. 1 in the school. Apart from them, 14 students were able to score 9+ CGPA. 3 students managed a CGPA score of above 9. Importance of sports for children

It's an inquiry by numerous parents. "Why would it be advisable for me to allow my child to play sports?" and "In case that I do allow my child to play, sports would be advisable for me to give them a chance to play?"
Here are some of the reasons that Ajanta Public School could come up with to advocate participation in sports.

·         Playing sports is a superb way for children to develop self esteem.

o   Children have a desperate need to have a place with something. Being involved in a sports team will swap the need for belonging that majority of children get into gangs for. They will build up a feeling of family away from the home which will keep them protected and give them that relation which they require.

·         For kids, sports is a natural way for them to overcome stress and reduce the likelihood for depression.

o   Involvement in sports reduces the idle time that a child can use to become self-obsessed, develop stress and concentrate on all the bad things around the world. One of the most ideal ways to battle self obsession would be to encourage them to concentrate on their team.

·         Kids who play sports will probably do well in school.

o   Kids who participate in sports will figure out how to manufacture objectives and how to function towards fulfilling those objectives. They will understand that it takes commitment for them to achieve what they need and that nobody will do it for them.

o   Kids who play sports will comprehend that buckling down can bring all kinds or perks in their life. The effort that they put in will help their body very much and the mental work they put in will radically enhance their mind.

·         Playing sports will be healthier as they practice more.

o   Kids who play sports will discover that they are much more satisfied when they have a sound dynamic body. They will also discover that good food is as important as exercise as they try to achieve their excellent athletic abilities.

·         Sports teach us  discipline.
o   An essential part of Sports is discipline. Learning at an early age to concentrate on thorough approaches can be vital. As said above students who participate in sports must be more disciplined than the normal students.
So in order to make your children healthy, disciplined and organized, choose sports for your child.

It’s vacation time! Get the most out of it

There is no better time to enjoy and relax than vacations. Everybody cherishes having long vacations where they can spend their energy doing things they adore. In case that you are a student then there are various things that you can and ought to do as such something positive can come out of your vacations. Ajanta Public School has jotted some pointers which you can consider.
·        Learn martial arts: Crime rates are soaring high nowadays. And thus it is of foremost importance that people, particularly girls learn some type of self defense like martial arts so that in case of emergency you can handle the situation yourself instead of relying upon the police. The vacations are an incredible time to learn self defense.

·        Visit temple: today’s era is always equipped with smartphones and internet. People don’t have time for anything else. But it is important to attain some inner peace so as to overcome the harmful effects caused on our health due to the continuous use of these gadgets.

·        Join a book club: Vacations are time where you can make up for lost time with a lot of reading which you may have otherwise not been able do. An awesome way to spend your vacation is to read incredible books, regardless of in which genre your interests lie, whether it is fiction, crime, history or even romance. People usually join a book club where they form groups and decide on a particular choice of book every week to read and discuss.

·        Register yourself for a camp: Rather than being cooped up at home, students spend their vacations outside, i.e. going for a summer camp or a trekking excursion. Enjoying activities like these are in fact both enthralling and liberating. When you will return from your camp, you will be having a different perspective for things altogether and you will love to appreciate minute things which you were avoiding earlier.

·        Discover new places: Vacations means you have lots of extra time to do anything you want to do, however the best approach to spend your time could be discovering new places. You could either discover your own particular city to do things which you have never done or visit areas which you have never visited. You can also discover places which attracted you the most but you did not get a chance to discover them.

·        Go to fascinating and fun workshops: Workshops are an incredible way to spend your holidays since you get the chance to learn new things and notwithstanding this you can even get the chance to meet new people that have the same interests as yours.

How to inspire the next generation of innovators and creative thinkers

There is continue debate, on the news and in schools about inspiring today's youth and the future era of pioneers. These discussions initiate between youngsters and their parents with the best of intentions, however usually wind up debating on the issues that encompass today's youth, things like: the online networking brain drain, the mobile abuse, gaming and substance misuse. That mentality has made a worldview that captures the adolescent and limits them from going beyond the societal desires set for them. All in all, if Ajanta Public School gives you three approaches to inspire the up and coming era of pioneers, would you trust me? The best part is, the thing that adults believe is impossible, could be begun with three basic steps.

The primary place to begin: The Home. The self image of a youth is fundamentally characterized by what they experience and see in their home. Qualities like obligation, devotion, duty and responsibility are all created by these youths by watching their parents "do" what they say their child ought to do, and not disregard their own particular teachings. Parents need to show a secure and unified relationship. Another aspect of the home that matters is the quality of words that are spoken in the house. For instance, one can't minimize the power of a family dinner where stories are told and empowering and positive words are spoken about the people sitting around the table.
The following place that inspires the future era is school. There is a tremendous sense of skepticism and distrust in today's children, about educational institutions that are not willing to change with the current times. Thus, teachers need to inspire students to find their qualities, put an accentuation on critical thinking and help their students comprehend that the reason of today's education is to help the students to "make occupations, not simply possess employments." The future era is loaded with people hoping to feel empowered and to act self-reliant - they are stepping ahead to be a part of a cause, a group, and to be inter-dependent.

Last but not the least, the media is and will always be the greatest impact on the young innovators and creative thinkers. Negative news sells, and that is the thing that majority of the media passes on to the world. In case that all the young hears and sees is anguish and fate - they are deadened and lose trust. So by what means can the media inspire the young minds? Through TV shows, movies and websites that exhibit the will of a human soul. All the youth needs to experience is "a story a day" of somebody, somewhere, winning in the game of life. In case the Media were to introduce a customary stream of stories of families united together and individuals winning, the effect would be incredible.

Assess Pre-reading skills of your child

1

Ajanta Public School suggests five simple ways to evaluate pre-reading skills in an early childhood classroom.
  1. A checklist must be used for sight words and letter sounds. Checklists are a fast, simple ways to discover precisely what every kid knows. The game plan is to find time to work with children one-on-one. Work with students during free time. There are so many various checklists out there.
Try to go through letters quickly since, a few preschoolers essentially don't have the ability to focus to work through a list of 26 letters.
  1. Break the task into parts. Never, ever go through the whole checklist with a child in a single go. That is too exhausting for them and for you as well. Their concentration will start to deviate, and your assignment validity will begin to waver. Break every assignment into parts: Assess lowercase letters, and then take a break. Check sight words, again go for a break. Capitalized letters, call for a break, and so forth.
  2. Casually evaluate kids during circle time. Not all children will be at their best in a group setting like this, but some are. Notice, which children are reliably ready to utter the majority of the letters or sight words that you've presented as such. Play games like "I have ... Who has?"
  3. Evaluate book and print awareness. Request students to get a book. Observe whether they know which way to hold the book. Is it upside down? Solicit children to find the title of the book. Notice regardless of whether they will pretend to read the book. In case that they pretend to read, do they know which way the content goes? Can they recognize letters in context? These are reading skills that let you know how close a child is to making the jump from pre-reader to start reading.
  4. Evaluate starting, center and end. Check whether children can sort out events. Their comprehension of sequence will be a foundational piece of their perusing perception later on. Ask children to put the photos all together and to recount the story. Regardless of the fact that they get the photos in the wrong order, you will learn a lot from listening to the story they tell about the photos and what details they incorporate into their retelling.

Education for the Future: How Do We Prepare Youth for what’s to Come?

1

In a globally connected world where innovation is becoming more productive and fundamental, the question that strikes a chord is: Are we preparing our youth for what's to come?

Numerous education experts are anticipating sure patterns for the future but how we will get there? The present education system should be rebuilt to comprehend and achieve the abilities and qualities which will be vital for employments later on.

Here are some teaching strategies you can easily follow to train your students for what's to come.

1.Classroom Management is the teaching methodology that is considered to be most vital in creating an effective teaching ambience to guarantee that your teaching will proceed smoothly and your each teaching will be a progress.
Classroom Management covers an extensive variety of subjects from behavior management and classroom discipline to communication methodologies both verbal and non-verbal to classroom rules including classroom time management. Actualize some of the procedures behind these subjects and you'll be on route to train your students well for future.
  1. Know your students well. You ought to have diverse expectations for each of your students. It is important to make a genuine bond with them (by the way that works both ways).
  2. Encourage and motivate your students to set a few objectives for themselves, then help them to achieve their objectives and proceed towards another set of goals.
  3.  A profitable student teacher relationship is so important to having a successful future ahead. You should care, respect and show concern for the development of your student’s future. Teachers that make a positive learning environment and demonstrate that they care, are well on the way to have their students show respect for them and their fellow classmates.
  4. Responsibility is Essential. It is essential for you to recollect that for every day of the school year you are responsible for you students and their parents as well. Be responsible to yourself too and be the best that you can be.
  5. Last, but not the least, "Keep and Have the Passion"(for educating) alive! Appreciate what you do, where you are and who (students) you're with. Make sure to have a fabulous time while you're teaching.
Process these teaching methodology, play around with them, and actualize those that fit your style of educating. Ajanta Public School also favors the process of preparing youths for the future and thus imparts best quality education to its students.

Be a healthy high schooler!

17359

Being successful in secondary school accompanies little persistence and inspiration. Sadly there are such a large number of diversions coming your way, once in a while it turns difficult to say no. Be that as it may, if you want to become a successful student, then you need to start figuring out how to say no to these diversions. Our Chairman and MD truly understand what do parents expect from their children and what efforts should kids give to fulfill the dreams of their parents and of themselves as well.
